This site promotes realism and a return to classical ideals in art through articles, competitions, information on ateliers, an online museum and various resources for artists.

This is my good friend Joy Laking's website.  Joy has painted the landscapes of Nova Scotia for almost fifty years.  Many years ago she encouraged me to paint plein air and since then she and I have enjoyed many wonderful painting trips together.

This is an article written by Elissa Barnard about three realism exhibits, including one of mine, in Halifax Nova Scotia in November, 2019

This is the short video made for the ARC digital exhibit, July 2020.

This is a video produced for the 14th International Art Renewal Center Salon's online exhibition.  My painting, 'Artists's Collection' won second place in the still life category and was exhibited at the MEAM in Barcelona, Spain and was supposed to be shown in New York but the show was cancelled due to Covid 19.  Instead they produced an online exhibit that can be seen at https://www.sothebys.com/en/articles/contemporary-realism-14th-international-virtual-arc-salon-exhibition

Financial assistance to take part in this exhibit was provided by

Arts Nova Scotia.
